The Funeral of Gerald F. Snyder January 7, 2021.

 

Gerald F. “Jerry” Snyder, 102, formerly of 58 N. State St., North Warren, PA, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at The Rouse Home in Youngsville, PA.

Born on September 23, 1918 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Frank Merle and Emily Marie Peterson Snyder.

Jerry was a 1936 graduate of DuBois High School and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was formerly employed with National Forge in production and as a payroll officer for 30 years, retiring in June of 1981. He was a member of Pleasant Community Church. Jerry was also a former volunteer with The Toy Shoppe of Warren and with the N. Warren Fire Department.

Jerry is survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife, Elaine Stoddard Snyder. On November 1, 1987 he married Lynn Bowser Snyder, who died on April 3, 2011. Jerry is also preceded in death by 4 daughters – Emily Reigel, Carol Schweinsberg, Pamela Batt, and Debbie Sproveri and a granddaughter, Susan Reigel Carr.

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East St., Warren, PA, on Thursday, January 7, 2021, from 10am until 11am at which time a funeral and committal service will be held with Pastor Aaron Rienard of Scandia Covenant Church, officiating. CDC protocols will be observed, including mask wearing, and social distancing. A Flag Presentation will be made by U.S. Army personnel. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park.
