Another of the church’s core values is “Reaching the Non-Churched” meaning building relationships with those who do not have a relationship with Christ so to be able to share Christ with them.
The church helps support the local soup kitchen at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church the first Tuesday of each month by helping serve food and cleaning up afterwards. This begins at 4:15 pm on those Tuesdays.
The church has recently sponsored mission trips to Haiti and Ecuador. In Haiti, the projects were construction of homes, whereas in Ecuador, the project was work on constructing a home for at risk children and community medical clinic.
Each November, the church serves as a regional relay center for Operation Christmas Child. This is a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse where shoebox sized containers full of items for children around the world are collected.
Every month, the Deacons of the church select a local ministry to be the church’s focus for support. We have most recently collected items for the Pregnancy Support Center, the Salvation Army, The House of Hope (women’s transitional housing for those leaving the county jail), and Head Start Families. December 2016 Outreach ministry is collecting needed items for the school children who are needy.
In addition to all this, the church gives just over ten percent of its budget to various other missions work through our denominations and through ministries that members of our congregation are connected to.
