We are first and foremost about Jesus and furthering His kingdom!
We are a rural church in Pleasant Township near the small city of Warren, Pennsylvania. Our congregation originated with a merger of the former Bethlehem Covenant Church and First Baptist Church, and we continue our affiliation with both denominations. At Pleasant Community Church, our members are part of both the Evangelical Covenant Church and the American Baptist Church, not just one or the other. We are one church! We are part of the Great Lakes Conference of the Evangelical Covenant and the American Baptist Churches of Pennsylvania and Delaware.
At Pleasant Community we seek to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community and beyond. Our Sunday services include both contemporary praise music and traditional hymns in a blended service that is uplifting to Christ and moving to to those in attendance. The sermons serve as a time of learning for our congregation on topics relevant to today’s world to help us to know Christ better and to grow deeper in Him. The Word is central at Pleasant Community Church.
We offer Sunday School classes for all ages throughout the fall, winter and spring. Adult classes often do book or topical studies. Our children are taught in age appropriate class groupings. There are several ways for folks to get involved in the life of the church. We encourage anyone who wants to get involved to do so, but we certainly do not expect or require folks to do anything they do not feel comfortable doing.
We celebrate Communion the first Sunday of every month and welcome all believers to the table!
