To walk by faith, to be a voice of hope, and to be known by love

Children’s Ministry

One of the church’s core values is “Being Children and Youth Oriented” meaning we try to be intentional about including children and youth in the life of the church.  They can function as greeters, ushers, sing with the choir, etc.

Children’s ministry at PCC consists of nursery for infants through kindergarten ages during Sunday School and the worship service.  Only screened volunteers with clear background clearances are allowed to volunteer in any children’s area.

During Sunday School, a combined-age class is offered: Kindergarten through 5th grade.

SIMPLY LOVED: JESUS TEACHES THROUGH PARABLES & MIRACLES

Facilitated by: Team of Volunteers

Simply Loved will take our younger children on a journey through God’s Word where they will not just study but experience the Bible story, spend time with Jesus, and build stronger friendships.

“You shall teach them to your children, talking of them when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.”

– Deuteronomy 11:19

Kids Club (kindergarten – 5th)  relaunches on WEDNESDAY, Sept. 13, 6:00 pm

We will begin with dinner, then the children and youth will break into their respected groups for games, devo, and sometimes crafts and service projects. Note to Parents: Parents with youth in the 5th grade may decide if their youth is a better fit in our Kids Club program or with the JH youth on Wednesday nights. Please speak to our directors, Jodi Sadler and Dawn Swanson, respectively, about the dynamics of this matter.

Kids Club – This school year, our children will be walking through the award-winning storybook, The Jesus Storybook Bible, by Sally Lloyd-Jones and Sam Sahmmas, revealing how Jesus is the center of each Bible story and how every story whispers his name. Through activities, memory verses, crafts, and handouts, children will be invited to join in the greatest of all adventures, to discover for themselves that Jesus is at the center of God’s great story of salvation—and at the center of their story too! Facilitated by Jodi Sadler and Jennifer Scholar.

A “Children’s Moment” is part of the worship service.

Children in 1st grade and up are kept in the worship service during the sermon in order to help prepare them for being part of worship as they become adults.

Vacation Bible School occurs in June once school has ended.

This is a week-long ministry to children through the 6th grade.  We have been partnering with the local Warren Community VBS that rotates among member churches. This provides a greater number of children and volunteers providing a better experience for all involved! It also shows that the churches of Warren work together for the common good of all in our community!
