“Maundy” comes from the Latin word mandatum meaning “command.” On Jesus’ last night he broke bread with disciples (The Last Supper) initiating the sacrament of Holy Communion together. saying: “So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples (John 13:34-35).”
Join us for this intergenerational service where we look back and retell the Exodus story utilizing the Seder Plate and sharing in Holy Communion.
