Maundy Thursday Service
April 1st at 7pm.
Will include scripture readings, hymns, special music and communion.
Good Friday Service
April 2nd at 7pm
This will be a "tenebrae" service, or a service of shadows. This is a service that dates back to 8th century Rome where it grew out of a combination of night and early morning prayer, focusing on the remembrance of the suffering of Jesus. The most significant aspect of this service is the gradual extinguishing of the lights and candles in the room, symbolizing the flight of the apostles and the darkness and distrubance that accompanied Jesus' suffering and death.

On-Going Events
Capital Fund Drive - "Growing Together" Pleasant Community Church is engaged in a fundraising process in order to raise funds to add on to the church. The purpose for this is so that 1) we are better able to reach out to our community with the addition of some multi-purpose space, 2) so that the church is accessible to those with handicaps and to those who are elderly, 3) so that we can better minister to children and youth by having more child and youth friendly spaces, and 4) so that we can complete something significant togther as a new congregation. Below are a few pictures of the on going construction. Please pray for us as we seek God's guidance in all these endeavors!
